Root cause analysis (RCA) training to review CIMS major impact incidents

Description

This program is run by the department, in partnership with the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS), and takes participants through the end to end process of conducting an incident review applying root cause analysis (RCA) methodology.

This training will assist funded organisations to review CIMS major impact incidents where major systemic or process issues are assessed as underlying the incident, and is delivered by facilitators who are experts in conducting RCA reviews.  

This training is mainly targeted at managerial staff that will be required lead and/or participate in RCA reviews in their organisation, noting that an RCA team typically comprises of 3-6 people in total.

Registration for training programs is subject to availability and approval by the department. Places are limited in this program. Please note that lunch is not provided in training sessions.
